Edit your PDFs and fill your forms

PDFescape Editor is a versatile productivity program that enables you to edit PDF files and even easily fill out PDF forms. Developed by Red Software, this PDF editor has both a cross-platform online version that has a premium ad-free option and a downloadable desktop version that has more features available.

Make your files portable

A PDF or "Portable Document Format" is a file format for text and images in a fixed-layout flat document. No matter your hardware or software for PC, PDFs will look like an electronic image of a printed document. These can be viewed, printed, and electronically transmitted, and can have lots of different content.

PDFs are not easily editable, however, you need specialized editors to bypass the encryption on them and make changes. You can find PDF editors for whatever platform you need. Some are professional PDF editors that let you convert text documents into PDFs and vice-versa, too. PDFescape Editor is one of these but it also offers a web-based version that you can access even on mobile.

Chock full of features

PDFescape Editor for desktop has all the features that the online version has. You can view PDF files, edit their content, and make annotations. This editor app also allows you to fill out PDF forms. The forms you get online tend to be in PDF form so no one can tamper with them—but this means that they’re usually supposed to be printed first so you can answer them.

PDFescape’s form-filling feature allows you to make edits onto the PDF file itself while it’s still a digital document so you don’t have to manually write on it anymore. The program can also create new PDF forms. You can set up password protection on your files before sharing them online, too. The desktop version has more to offer, however.

The limit of 10MB and 100 pages for the online version is lifted in the installable PDFescape Editor. You can convert from PDF to MS Word’s format and others—and then print to PDF, as well. You can do document merging or compress the file sizes. Plus, you can insert watermarks, headers, footers, and page numbers. However, the desktop version is still limited to creating PDFs, printing, and viewing. There’s a 14-day trial and two paid plans available—Premium and Ultimate—for the full editor package.

Not just a simple editor

PDFescape Editor is highly comprehensive as an editor program, whether online or on desktop. It has tons of editing capabilities you can access either for free or for a price. If you’re looking for a PDF software that’s easy to use and can even fill out forms, then this is one that you may want to try out.
